This year’s Festival Main Concert presents a vibrant programme of celebrated masterpieces.

The first half opens with the elegant charm of Grieg’s From Holberg’s Time, followed by John Rutter’s Gloria, a spectacular work that will be a true highlight, showcasing the magnificent voices of the New National Theatre Chorus.

In the second half, audiences will enjoy two beloved works by Ravel: Ma mère l’Oye (Mother Goose) and Boléro. Inspired by the world of Mother Goose fairy tales, Ma mère l’Oye will feature new choreography for selected movements by Nakao Kota of Noism1, bringing the work’s dreamlike beauty to life and transporting audiences into its enchanting fairy-tale world.

The concert concludes with Boléro, presented in collaboration with Noism. In this performance, the role of the “Sacrificial Victim” will be danced by Ota Natsuki of Noism1. The fusion of dance and music promises a powerful artistic experience that is sure to captivate audiences.
