From the scene of theater creation with Immigrants in Germany - Theater workshop development for a multicultural society 2025

Bassam Ghazi has been continuously creating plays with local people of different backgrounds in Germany, where around one quarter of the population has an immigrant background, and he will develop and implement a theater workshop with foreign nationals and people with roots overseas living in Japan.
This workshop by Bassam Ghazi was previously held in 2023 and was very popular, and this year we are delighted to be holding it again. Amid a growing trend globally to ostracize anyone who is different, what kind of workshop is easy for people from different backgrounds to participate in? Ghazi himself has immigration in his roots and he will explain how his activities in Germany while teaching his methods for those activities, and participants will put what they have learnt into practice in the second half of the workshop together with foreign nationals.
Participants will learn about approaches to theatre workshops that make it easy for multicultural and multilingual people to join throughout this six-part program. Theatre practitioners, workshop coordinators and planners are all welcome.
