NODA Hideki & OKADA Toshiki Special Talk

We are holding a special program for the reopening of the Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre which will include a special talk by Artistic Director NODA Hideki and incoming Artistic Director (Performing Arts) OKADA Toshiki.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre, which opened in 1990, has played a central part in the field of performing arts (drama, music, dance, etc.) since NODA Hideki was appointed as the theatre’s first artistic director in 2009. He has promoted international exchange, actively collaborating with overseas theatres to bring over many outstanding international productions and introduce numerous Japanese shows to countries abroad, and he has actively engaged in a wide range of activities such as educational dissemination and human resource development projects.

The future ahead as a public theatre with an artistic director. We have invited theatre journalist TOKUNAGA Kyoko to host this event for a talk with NODA and OKADA on the role of an artistic director in a public theater.
