Training Program for the Development of Professionals Involved in Performing Arts

The Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre is holding the TMT Performing Arts Academy with the aim of contributing to career change in the field of performing arts and improving the quality of producers. The academy provides training programs for developing practical skills, know-how, and thinking skills, which are crucial for theatres, halls, and performing arts creation sites, for young people who have the goal of working as producers or coordinators at public cultural facilities or artistic organizations, etc.
Previously known as the Arts Academy: Tokyo Metropolitan Theatre Professional Development Training Program , the TMT Performing Arts Academy is under a more stable system and practical trainees (formerly known as trainees) enter into an employment contract that is equivalent to that of a full-time employee and attend training. The academy has produced human resources for 12 years, and academy graduates have been demonstrating their respective strengths and are now playing leading roles in public theaters and art organizations, etc., across all of Japan.
