NORUHA "Virtual Disorder"

“Virtual Disorder” is a representative work of the NORUHA that premiered in 2022 and received great acclaim.
The story of this play is based on two classic works. One is the Kyogen play “Natorigawa,” whose main character is a monk who forgets even his own name. The other is the Noh play “Funabenkei,” which is based on the story of Minamoto no Yoshitsune’s exile to the western provinces, and features one actor playing two roles: Yoshitsune’s concubine Shizuka Gozen and the vengeful spirit of his former enemy, Taira no Tomomori. This play attempts to retell these stories in a new way for our current lifestyle, where we constantly use multiple social media platforms and make use of various identities.
