Saburo Teshigawara began his unique creative career in 1981 in his native Tokyo after studying plastic arts and classic ballet. In 1985, he formed KARAS with Kei Miyata and started group choreography and their own activities. Since then, he and KARAS have been invited every year to perform in major international cities around the world. In addition to solo performances and his work with KARAS, Teshigawara has also been receiving international attention as a choreographer/director. He has been commissioned by many international Ballet companies such as the Paris Opera to create repertoire pieces for the company.

The Étoile of the Paris Opera Ballet. She began her career in dance at the age of ten when she entered the Paris Opera Ballet School (L’École de danse de l’Opéra de Paris) after giving up her hopes of being a pianist. She joined the company in 1989 and became a première danseuse in December 1996. Dupont was promoted to star dancer (Étoile) in 1998 after her performance as Kitri in Paris Opera Ballet’s revival of Nureyev’s production of Don Quixote. She has also starred in Paris Opera Ballet’s revival of Nureyev’s version of The Sleeping Beauty.
