Following its inception in London as “One Small Step”, playwright and director Takuya Kato’s play comes alive anew in Tokyo under the title of “Imin” (meaning “immigrants”). This play is set in the near future as humanity prepares to settle on the moon and beyond, attempting, with their own hands, to render another world habitable, and questioning what lies beyond human control. In the shadows of this great endeavor, through the deeply personal interactions of a couple, the play examines how the hand that seeks to build a new world and the hand that stretches out to those before it never quite meet each other.
